About Dieuwke
Dieuwke de Jong (1988) is a Dutch photographer who studied at the Fotoacademie in Amsterdam. Her work consist of portraits, documentary- and event photography and conceptual work.
Dieuwke portrays her subjects in an honest and meaningful way by capturing what lies beneath the surface. With her work, she tries to make sense of the complexity of human existance and the layeredness of being. She invests time and attention in building a connection with the people she photographes, creating an intimate atmosphere in which they allow her to get close and feel free to share their stories. She translates these into images, resulting in raw, authentic and honest work, striving to capture life and people as we are, stripped down to our core.
She is talented in using her camera as a tool to connect to herself and others and to visualize the stories she then discovers. Need your story to be told? Whether it is a book- or albumcover, personal- or business portraits, a concert or an event you’re hosting, she got you covered!
